10 Days in a Madhouse - The Nellie Bly Story brought an eruption of spontaneous applause at the Cannes Film Festival and is now being screened in Clearwater, Florida at a special event to benefit the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) of Florida.

This movie, starring Caroline Barry, Christopher Lambert and Kelly Le Brock tells the true life experience of 1887 world famous journalist Nellie Bly going undercover for publisher Joseph Pulitzer into the notorious Blackwell’s Island Insane Asylum to uncover institutionalized corruption, abuse and murder.

The exclusive screening is being held at the Historic Fort Harrison after a pre-event reception hosted at CCHR in downtown Clearwater.

  • The pre-event reception begins at 5:00pm at 109 N. Fort Harrison Ave, Clearwater
  • Doors open at 6pm for a Buffet Dinner and the Screening starts at 7pm at 201 S. Fort Harrison - Historic Fort Harrison
  • General admission is $75
  • VIP Package is $125
